Luzia de Ripa. The character who gives her name to our most ambitious Txakoli was a female monk who lived in our Valley in the 16th century and left us memorable details in her writings about how vineyards were tended at the time.
We make the Luzia de Ripa Txakoli with a choice selection of grapes, in a blend where the Izpiriotza Txikia variety plays a leading role, following a modern model of vinification, with fermentation at low temperatures to enhance aromas.
Pale, straw-yellow with green hues; clean and bright.
Sharp varietal aromas, particularly of citrus fruit (grapefruit) and tropical fruit (pineapples). Outstanding aniseed aromas.
Harmoniously enveloping mouth with a long, persistent finished underscored by mineral terroir notes.
